Would you pray with us for state coordinators/directors; these men and women are key leaders in the ministry of CEF.  Kansas, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington, DC each need such a leader. Would you ask God to provide His chosen leaders for these states? This month, our intercession is focused on Vermont.

Prayer requests:

bulletWe need a state director.
bulletWe need more GNC workers and party club workers.


Praises:

bulletWe had an interview with a potential state director.
bulletGood News Clubs are being held in Swanton and Sheldon and attendance is up. We have 103 children enrolled in our Mailbox Club.

 

INIndiana - Don Phares, State Director
Prayer Requests:

bulletPray that God will send us a local coordinator in the Evansville and Northwest Chapters.
bulletPray for additional committee members for the North Central and Southern Indiana Chapters and for all chapters to have                                                                                                members that will help take their ministries to the next level.


Praises:

bulletThe Lord has given us a summer state intern who has been involved in CYIA for seven years and is attending Moody Bible Institute.                                                                              He might be interested in future full-time CEF ministry.
bulletThe Lord has provided a Good News Across Indiana ministry team to prepare, plan and promote this outreach to several key cities in Indiana. 

 

MAMassachusetts - Tim Beachell, State Director
Prayer Requests:

bulletWe need two Boston workers and at least two other state staff.
bulletWe need more state board members due to retirements.


Praises:

bulletThis year 8,649 children heard the Gospel with over 630 making decisions!
bulletFour volunteer electricians provided all the electrical work on the new dining hall facility! A plumber was located as well.

 

MEMaine - John Romano, State Director
Prayer Requests:

bulletPray for added workers for our Southern Maine Chapter.  Fifty percent of Maine's children live in that chapter.
bulletFive young people desire  to join our CEF of Maine staff.  Pray for wisdom from above.


Praises:

bulletA large donation has filled up our building fund for a new Southern Maine garage/office.
bulletThe foundation has been poured for our new staff housing at Camp Good News.  Sufficient funds are available to begin construction                                                                                of the shell and roof this spring.

 

NVNevada - Patty Lappin, State Director
Prayer Requests:

bulletWe need director assistants in all areas and in the state office.
bulletIn Las Vegas and in Reno we need someone to do bookkeeping.


Praises:

bulletGod is opening more locations in Las Vegas in schools and in apartments.
bulletThank you for the faithful workers under the state office.

 

MemphisMemphis-Janie Walker, Metro Director
Prayer Requests:

bulletWe need summer interns for next summer--one needs to be bilingual.
bulletWe need two board members.


Praises:

bulletThe number of salvations is 97 thus far this year in 49 clubs.
bulletWe opened another school club in  December. The principal is very eager for it to start.

 

VAVirginia-Bill Willaford, State Director
Prayer Requests:

bulletPlease pray fervently for one to three protégées as successors in the Northern Virginia Chapter - one for teacher training, one for                                                                                office work/literature handling and one to direct the work and  facilitate public relations for this nine-county area.
bulletPlease pray for a seasoned CEF couple that could take the leadership role in the Central Virginia Chapter (Lynchburg) to work as a                                                                     CEF/Liberty University partnership coach and potential director. 


Praises:

bulletPraise for the development of pioneering ministry in the northern Greater Richmond Chapter, where Katie Kirk has been able to expand  the ministry.
bulletPraise that the State of Virginia has allowed a person to service ministry in a work relocation program with CEF.                                                                                                       They are paying him 20 hours a week for 18 weeks while he does an intern ministry focus with us.

 

USA - Moises Esteves, Vice President, USA Ministries
Prayer Requests:

bulletPray that 200 younger workers will take advantage of the scholarships available and come to International Conference.
bulletPray that the dozen or so Salt Lake City churches that are considering partnering with us for Good News Across America 2011 will decide to join us.


Praises:

bulletPraise that 14 Salt Lake City churches have already promised to partner with us for Good News Across America 2011!
bulletPraise that 55-60 workers have registered for Board and Committee Enrichment here in January!
